I’ve been interested in computers from a very early age. I think it was around twelve that I realized I wasn’t really good at anything else other than designing software. I didn’t know what it really meant back then, but I knew, I honestly knew, this is what I wanted to do in life. Then life played it’s usual game of dice and I landed into the field of web applications. In my opinion, web development is by far the most exciting field in the software industry today. That’s partly because of it’s fluidity, because of it’s abundance of change. If you are web developer you are always learning. From LINQ to data warehousing, to parallelism, to classic computer science algorithms you name it, web applications has it all.

I currently work for the University of California, Los Angeles as a web developer and project manager. I am also an independent software consultant mainly in the Los Angeles area. In CodeScrub, my goal is to capture some techniques that I employ to make web a better place for everyone. For the user, the developers, and the stakeholders of the web application.
